10GBASE-CX4是IEEE802.3宣布的第一个10G铜缆标准(如802.3ak-2004)，4个信道承载2.5GBd的信号带宽，CX4具有低功耗，低本钱和低延迟的优点，可是比新型单通道SFP+电缆具有更大的形状尺寸。
